Job Summary and Qualifications As an Anesthesia Technician, you will work closely with the anesthesia team and surgical staff to help every procedure go safely and smoothly. You will play a key role in keeping equipment ready, supporting patient care, and helping create a safe, comfortable environment throughout the surgical journey.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Preparing and organizing anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules and planning for what the team will need
- Setting up, transporting, and maintaining anesthesia carts and equipment to keep all supplies clean and ready for safe use
- Helping patients by assisting with transfers, positioning, preparation, and applying non-invasive monitoring devices
- Acting quickly and confidently if an emergency happens
- Keeping the environment clean and safe by following infection prevention and safety practices
- Speaking openly with patients, families, and your team, always protecting patient privacy and advocating for patient rights
What qualifications you will need: - High School Graduate / GED
- Preferred: prior anesthesia technician experience in a hospital setting
- Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).
