This position supports the manufacturing and refurbishment of critical power generation components through a combination of CNC machining, process operations, laser applications, coating systems, and specialized manufacturing processes. The role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working with a variety of equipment and manufacturing technologies in a highly technical environment. The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Set up and operate a variety of CNC-controlled manufacturing equipment Perform machining operations on large power generation components Operate Horizontal Boring Machines, 5-axis machining centers, laser drilling equipment, and other specialized manufacturing systems Support bonding, coating, heat treatment, and related manufacturing processes Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications Select tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing methods for assigned work Load and unload workpieces using cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment Perform quality inspections and verify conformance to specifications Utilize precision measuring instruments and advanced metrology equipment Follow established manufacturing, quality, and safety procedures Maintain accurate production records and documentation Contribute to continuous improvement and team-based problem-solving initiatives Machines, Controls & Equipment You'll work with equipment such as: Machines Horizontal Boring Machines (HBMs) 5-Axis CNC Machining Centers Laser Drilling Equipment Coating Systems Heat Treatment Equipment Various CNC-Controlled Manufacturing Equipment Material Handling Jib Cranes Bridge Cranes Fork Trucks Inspection Equipment Precision Measuring Instruments Advanced Metrology Equipment Quality Inspection Tools Materials You'll Work With Gas turbine components Steam turbine components Generator components Energy-industry assemblies High-performance alloys and industrial materials What We're Looking ForRequired High School Diploma or GED Minimum 3 years of CNC machining or manufacturing process experience Experience operating CNC equipment in a production environment Experience with machining, laser applications, or industrial coating systems Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings Strong understanding of shop mathematics Experience using precision measuring instruments and metrology equipment Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds Ability to wear a respirator when required Ability to pass a Process Operator Competency Test Forklift and crane certification, or the ability to obtain certification Career Readiness / WorkKeys Certificate (Silver Level) Preferred Horizontal Boring Mill experience 5-axis machining experience Laser drilling experience Coating system experience Experience in power generation, aerospace, turbine, or heavy industrial manufacturing Multi-process manufacturing experience Why Operators Like Working Here Operators choose Siemens Energy because: Exposure to a wide range of advanced manufacturing technologies Opportunity to work on critical power generation components Stable workload supporting global energy infrastructure Career advancement and cross-training opportunities Modern manufacturing environment Strong safety culture Plant bonus opportunities Supportive and collaborative team environment Long-term career potential with a global industry leader Pay, Benefits & ScheduleSign-On Bonus $5,000 Sign-On Bonus $2,000 after 3 months $3,000 after 9 months (Employee must remain actively employed and in good standing at payout dates.)
