Now Hiring: Justice Court Clerk

Court Administration & Clerical Support

Openwork is hiring an organized and dependable Justice Court Clerk for a court office in Humble, TX 77388 . This position supports daily court operations through accurate recordkeeping, document preparation, data entry, and professional customer service.

Qualified candidates must have at least 1 year of computer and clerical experience and strong Microsoft Office skills . Previous legal, paralegal, court, or judicial experience is strongly preferred.

Position at a Glance

Location : Humble, TX 77388
Pay : $15.01 per hour | Weekly Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Lunch : 30-minute break
Employment Type : Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire

What You'll Be Doing:

• Maintain court dockets, records, and files.
• Prepare correspondence and court-related documents.
• Coordinate court appearances and scheduling.
• Administer oaths as required.
• Enter and update information accurately in court records.
• Answer incoming calls and assist the public professionally.
• Prepare certified copies, reports, and other documentation.
• Maintain organized records and handle confidential information appropriately.
• Support additional clerical and court-related duties as needed.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Minimum 1 year of computer and clerical experience — REQUIRED.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook — REQUIRED.
• 1+ year of paralegal, legal, court, or judicial system experience — STRONGLY PREFERRED.
• Strong computer, typing, and data-entry skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Professional written and verbal communication.
• Ability to assist callers and members of the public courteously.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.
• Discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.
• Reliable attendance and a professional demeanor.
